Privacy policy.
Uniboard is an offline Unicode character and emoji explorer and keyboard for iPhone and iPad, developed by Kitta Ltd.
Typing and character search
The Unicode release, development draft and emoji catalogs are bundled with the app. Searches run on your device. The keyboard keeps its search query inside the keyboard extension and inserts only the character or complete emoji sequence you select into the active field.
Uniboard does not send your typing, search queries or inserted characters to Kitta Ltd or an app-operated server. After you insert a character or emoji into another app, that app controls the resulting text; its own privacy policy applies.
Data stored on your device
Favorite and recent characters and emoji, edition and order preferences, and any scratchpad text you save are stored locally. The app and the keyboard maintain separate collections and preferences. These collections are not synced by Uniboard to a developer-operated service. Uninstalling the app removes its local app data. Device backups may include app data under your Apple backup settings.
Clipboard and keyboard permissions
When you choose Copy, Uniboard writes the selected character, complete emoji sequence or scratchpad text to the system clipboard. Other apps may access clipboard content under iOS rules. Uniboard does not continuously read or monitor the clipboard.
The keyboard works without Full Access. iOS controls which text fields allow a third-party keyboard. Uniboard does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or advertising permissions.
Support messages
If you contact Kitta Ltd for support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and your message. We use it to answer your request and resolve the issue. Do not include sensitive typing, passwords or private documents in a support message.
